A research team led by Professor Chang Zhijie from the School of Basic Medical Sciences, Tsinghua University, in collaboration with the PLA General Hospital and other institutions, has published landmark findings in the prestigious journal Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy (a Nature sub-journal), demonstrating that inhaled human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell exosomes (hUCMSC-EVs) can safely and effectively reverse pulmonary fibrosis.

Research Background

Pulmonary fibrosis is known as "the cancer that is not cancer." Conventional drugs can only slow progression but cannot reverse scarring.
